40 gb ps3?

I've heard that Sony will release a 40GB model before Christmas this year and it will have an MSRP of $399.99. Does anyone know if there's any truth to this? The only drawback to the 40GB model is it wont come with backwards compatability, but if it's really $399 I plan on buying it. Someone please help! 40 gb ps3?
i neever heard of any announcement regarding that40 gb ps3?
It's a rumour. and the way things are looking now, it's unfounded
never heard about that....
I read it in the August issue of GI that it was confirmed by Sony, but it could just be a hoax. It would suck if it is, cuz a 399 price point would be when I'd buy it.
I read it in the August issue of GI that it was confirmed by Sony, but it could just be a hoax. It would suck if it is, cuz a 399 price point would be when I'd buy it.
I would also buy a 40Gb model for that price, well if it actually worked out at an OK price in the UK anyway. I doubt it will happen though. It wouldn't make sense to discontinue the 60Gb model for a bigger model and then make a smaller one after that. I am not saying it won't happen but I don't think it will although I would get one if that was the case.
I read it in gi also but I think its a rumor
