Rumor: Cores and Premiums with HDMI?

Found this via CVG. Opposable Thumbs at Asrtechnica had a note yesterday about the alleged possibility (according with information provided by a mole) of Microsoft ''soft-launching'' a new batch of Core and Premium systems equipped with HDMI and possibly 65 nm chipsets.Rumor: Cores and Premiums with HDMI?

Interesting... but wouldn't that make the ''elite'' 360 a worse deal than it is now?Rumor: Cores and Premiums with HDMI?
If this is true, I will buy my fifth 360, and give my busted one to my best friend.  I'm tired of the a-holes at MS customer service, I just want a system that works.  The 65nm Falcons can't get here soon enough.  I just wonder who will buy the timebomb 360s on store shelves right now.  You've got better odds with Russian roulette.
That would realllllllyyyyyyyyy alienate the customer base. And personally Component is not any better or worse than HDMI in my opinion, so my almost 2 year old component only premium is just fine for now.

I don't know... I used to have my PS3 on HDMI until the HDMI port on my TV crapped out, and for me it just doesn't look the same running on the component cables.  The difference is small enough that I could be imagining things, but it sure looked better in my mind.  Component is definitely just fine though in any case.  For me I'm less excited about the HDMI out, and more excited about more heat sinks, and 65nm chips.  I think the 360 would easily be one of my favorite consoles of all time if I hadn't had such bad luck with the hardware.  I'm cursed though, regardless of how well I treat my electronics and gadgetry I always get the duds.  When I decided to upgrade to an HDTV last year, the first two TVs I went through were defective out of the box, my HDMI port died on my current TV, and my PSP and DS have dead pixels.  It only makes sense that I've gone through 4 360s.

So I can understand bad luck with electronics. Maybe it was balancing out the fact my 360 works flawlessly for approaching over a year and a half now.
