I never would have guessed that they are using actual PS3s in their servers... that room makes me drool... anyway this article makes it sound like Warhawk should be flawless from a technical standpoint.Warhawk Server Clusters
... I'm going to check out that room today. Ironically I will be one Ps3 richer and they will be one Ps3 poorer. I wonder how ;)Warhawk Server Clusters
I could not believe the excellent connection I received when playing the beta, I am on a weak wireless signal and still had 30+ people and no lag.
Now that is awesome.
I could not believe the excellent connection I received when playing the beta, I am on a weak wireless signal and still had 30+ people and no lag.
I never had any problem with the actual gameplay, either. But there was that phase early on where I couldn't play more than a few minutes without getting the inevitable system crash... Thankfully, they fixed that with an update and everything was good again. :)
Its encouraging that I keep hearing positive things about the beta. Warhawk is very high on my must-buy list. Its cool that gamers can use their systems as servers, but I think I will stick with the dedicated servers (24 is great, 32 is better).
'' For those of you who participated in the beta, you may remember toward the end that some players started to ''spoof'' the official SONY server names - shame on you. I will find you all online and shank you repeatedly or snipe you in the crotch! ''
LOL
That line was cool. Anyway, this idea sounds awesome.
