The Mega Man Franchise

Your thoughts on how it has progressed. I've only played Mega Man 6 for the original NES and Mega Man 64. It seems like it used to be so good. How has it changed. The bosses were so cool in the old ones. Your thoughts on the franchise? The Mega Man Franchise
well there is quite a few differnt types of mega man the clasic series, mega man x, battlenetwork/starforce, and one other i forget the name and each is completly diferntThe Mega Man Franchise
IMO, the series is going down hill. I hated the battle network series, and the Zero series I thought were alright, just a little too hard. Mega Man X7 kinda proved that Mega Man really shouldn't be a 3D game, at least to roam around, and the Legends were so-so, but nothing that Mega Man should be in.

Personally I would say that the Megaman Zero and Megaman X series were the best. Quick, easy to play, and all were quite challenging. Just don't play any Megaman X past X4 though...

[/QUOTE]i agree. i loved the mega man x games that were in 2d, they could make them look really cool nowadays if capcom tried.
The Mega Man series is still ongoing, although they're usually spinoff games and not proper sequels to the original series. The latest spinoff game is the upcoming Mega Man Star Force.

If you want some games to check out, there's Mega Man Powered Up, Maverick Hunter X, Mega Man Battle Network 2, Mega Man Zero, and Mega Man ZX.
i relly liked that megaman rpg (megaman x:command mission)
I had the Mega Man game for the NES. I believe it was 6. Maybe it was X6 I don't remember. The bosses were SO AWESOME in that game especially for its time. You got to select from a few levels/bosses then that unlocked some others where you got to use abilities like a jet pack and stuff. The first boss I'd always face was the Flower Boss(don't remember the name) or the Centaur Man which I remember gave you the Flash attack thing. The flower boss's power just protected you.I wish I could play Mega Man games like that again. Are there any similar to the old school Mega Man games like that? Those were incredible. You felt like you were leveling up and facing awesome bosses with some cool ''sidequests'' and extras to do. Maybe those games are for DS or handhelds. Maybe that's all they can ever be anymore, but I'd really love to play a game like 6 or X6 or whatever it was called for the NES. Any similar Mega Man games like that that are 2D and that good?

I would personally say play any of the MMX games, besides Command Mission and X7, cause I thought X8 was not too shabby. And the anniversary collections are great to own too.
In my opinion the best megaman games (and i have played alot of them) are Megaman 2 + 3 for the NES,Megaman X3 for the SNES and and Megaman X4 for the playstation.I think the old bosses were way better and more original but I still like the Megamanfranchise and still find alot of the newer ones that stick to the original 2d platforming very enjoyable.
