So I'm 17. I live in California and ever since I turned 17 every mature rated game I try to buy the employee says i have to be 18. Now with this new law overturned does that mean I can now go in with my picture I.D. and purchase an M rated game at 17? Just curious cuz I live with my grandma and I hate dragging her out just to tell the guy at the register I can buy this M rated game. THanks (and sorry for the rant)california Game law question???
Probably not. The rating on the box is only a guideline, a lot of stores have their own policy which restricts the sale of M rated games to 18+.
