Like if you buy a game and keep it for like 20-30 years couldn't you sell that for alot of money since it is old to a nerd or something??? Just wondering cause I saw a regular nintendo go on sale for like 300 dollars online and people buy it What do you think??Do you think videogames are profitable???
Depends on the rarity and such.Do you think videogames are profitable???
yea, video games can be very profitable. Marvel vs. capcom 2 is $80 for the ps2 usedat gamestop. Some of the SMT games can sell for a lot now as well, such as nocturne and the dds series, and im sure persona 3 will become rare, atlus doesn't make a lot of copies of their games:|.
If a particular title is rare and high in demand, it can be profitable when time passes. However, most games go down in price:?.
Obscure titles with limited print runs or special editions of popular games tend to be worth the most from what I have seen.
If you really studied demand across the fanbase, you could make some decent cash getting rare and odd releases from Japan, but other than the occasional rare print or high-in-demand game, it's not really a venue to generate a lot of profit.
Of course. Some of the NES titles, from what I've been hearing, are going for around 80 bucks... I'd say they are HIGHLY profitable...''A wise man can hear profit in the wind''Ferengi Rule of Acquisition #22
problem with collectors items is that everyone collects them.

hell yeah they are profitable... gears of war sold over a million copies.. that's 60 million dollars. big money.

Cause i found a whole bunch of NES and SNESgames in a plastic bag abandoned at a dumpster near my house. With games like LoZ link to the past and old marios.

It's just that the only way a game will end up costing more is if it becomes popular after it is no longer in stores, kinda like Earthbound did once Ness was put in Super Smash Bros. There is also the very rare and strange case of people paying absurd prices for games like Final Fantasy 7, but it is very hard to figure out ahead of time what games will have a large AND stupid fanbase with big wallets.
